In a nutshell
Calvenzano is "the town of cooperatives," the oldest of which was founded in 1887. It is also the town of the Calvenzano Melon, a Slow Food Presidium. If on your cycling excursions in the Gera d'Adda you happen to be here, remember that on Mondays there is a fruit and vegetable market: seasonal produce and food and wine delicacies, directly from local producers.
