The gift, Lanciano pays homage to Our Lady of the Bridge

On September 8 each year, in honor of the nativity of Our Lady, each district of Lanciano decorates one or more wagons (now tractors) with gifts for Our Lady. These floats are accompanied by children, youths and adults in traditional costumes and display ancient crafts, perform ancient dances and offer culinary samples typical of the Lanciano folk tradition. The procession parades along the "Corso Trento E Trieste" until it arrives at Piazza Plebiscito where the gifts and offerings are left in front of the Church of Our Lady of the Bridge and will then be auctioned off that evening.
