The adventure begins at the Poggio Rubino winery in Montalcino, from where we will move with our own vehicles and immerse ourselves in the fabulous woods of Montalcino. Our guide is an expert dog trainer who, along with his good and trusted four-legged helpers, will provide you with a fun and adventurous experience. During the walk, anecdotes will be shared about how the puppy is trained from birth and the life of our search companion.

We will start with the description of the fascinating world of truffles, the different seasons and characteristics of the various types of this exquisite fruit, the right areas where to find them along with the surrounding flora, tracing their life in 360°, from growth in the soil to their discovery, preservation, and culinary uses.

During the journey, absolutely suitable for everyone as most of the terrain is flat, you will have the opportunity to interact with the surrounding fauna and discover particular and beautiful animals.

At the end of the hunt, we will visit the winery with an explanation of the entire vinification and aging process of the famous Brunello, and then move to the room where a delicious tasting and light lunch await us.

The three-course light lunch will be served in the dining room or on the panoramic terrace veranda (depending on availability) and consists of:

• a Tuscan traditional appetizer;
• locally produced cold cuts and cheeses, truffle salami, and truffle pecorino tasting;
• traditional bruschetta (toasted bread) with fresh seasonal vegetables from the garden and homemade delicacies;
• bruschetta with fresh truffle;
• egg from our outdoor organic chicken coop with fresh truffle shavings;
• wine pairing: Spumante Rosé IGT; Rosso di Montalcino Doc.
• first course: pici or handmade tagliatelle (depending on availability) with fresh truffle;
• wine pairing: Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and Brunello di Montalcino Selezione or Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (depending on availability);
• dessert: sweet salami with organic chocolate;
• pairing: Grappa di Brunello di Montalcino (aged 10 years in oak barrels).
