What we are going to do
An overall easy hike on wide, well-trodden trails to familiarize yourself with snowshoes or simply to spend a nice day in good company outdoors, on the snow with a nice convivial lunch. Artavaggio is a beautiful plateau in Valsassina accessible by cable car from Moggio, near Milan, and offers stunning views of the Resegone, the Alps chain and the mountains of the Triangolo Lariano.

Winter boots, waterproof, with lugged soles to proceed safely; mandatory trekking poles with wide washers; snowshoes (can be rented upon request based on availability); personal backpack with supplies of water and/or hot drinks (at least 1 liter each) and snacks; change of clothing; layered clothing according to the season (T-shirt, long-sleeved shirt, sweatshirt or fleece, wind/rainproof; softshell); light down jacket, gloves and wool cap.
