What we are going to do

From the village of Castiglione del Lago, one of the Most Beautiful Villages D'Italia, we will reach Tuoro sul Trasimeno, walk through the greenery, looking out over Trasimeno. We will cross the former airport of Castiglione del Lago, meet donkeys, and color the day with this beautiful experience. We will reach Borghetto sul Trasimeno, and finally arrive in Tuoro sul Trasimeno, at the Campo del Sole sculpture park. The route is easy, without any kind of elevation gain, and therefore suitable for everyone. The total length is 16 km, with an expected duration of 5 hours of walking.

What is needed

Wear walking shoes. On this route, actually, sneakers may also be fine, as long as we are sure that we have already walked several kilometers in one day. Dress strictly in layers. Breathable T-shirt, fleece or sweatshirt and windproof jacket, headgear, scarf and gloves, depending on the season. Carry at least 1.5 Liters of water, packed lunch, snacks and umbrella. Spare breathable jersey. Hiking poles are not needed on this particular type of trail.
