When darkness falls, Villa del Bene goes dark. The lights fade away, the corridors return to the darkness that once dwelled within them centuries ago, and only the warm flicker of a flame remains. It is in this suspended night that the story begins.

“A Tale of One Night” is a tour entirely different from the daytime one: a walking tour in which the audience does not simply observe the villa, but traverses it from within its own history.

Guided solely by candles and candelabras, visitors are led along the entire route, from the frescoed halls to the depths of the cellar, while a narrator weaves together the events, memories, and secrets that the walls hold.

In this experience, the villa is deliberately stripped of all artificial light. Only the glow of the candles accompanies the journey, casting unique shadows on the frescoes and revealing details that daylight flattens and hides.

Each room becomes a scene, each passage a narrative threshold. In the frescoed section, the painted figures seem to come to life in the shifting play of the flames, and the narrative intertwines with the faces, allegories, and stories that the artists entrusted to the walls. In the cellar, the journey descends into a more ancient and intimate time: the air grows thick, the silence deeper, and the narrative reaches its most evocative point here, where the stone preserves the echo of voices from the past.
