Not to be missed: the small convent

The small convent adjacent to the church housed the friars of the Convent of St. Francis in the village, who provided support for the activities of the hermitage. On the steep slope on the other side of the stream, one can still see the dry stone walls that supported the terracing known as Giardini di Fraà, where the friars grew vegetables for their livelihood. These religious remained at the site until the end of the 18th century. Later, with the closing of the convent of St. Francis, they abandoned the site for worship.

A bit of history: the restorations of recent decades

Over the following decades, the entire complex was first maintained and then restored. This work led to the complete restoration of the little church in 2005, thus preserving this important historical heritage to the present day.
