Tonino Guerra is the Romagna poet of beauty and simplicity, spokesman for great feelings and unforgettable stories. Rome and Russia are the homes of his adult life, but the hills of Romagna, lulled by the sound of the Marecchia River, are the cradle of his art. Born in Santarcangelo di Romagna to a family of farmers, he learned to look for the most intense beauty in the small things that seem everyday normalcy only in appearance.
