Lessinia: rural villages along the "Vecia Via de la Lana"
The ancient shepherds' road is now a route for experienced cyclists. For those traveling by car, on the other hand, it is an ideal route among the rural villages of eastern Verona.
Where

Shepherds once rode it to take their flocks on transhumance or to deliver raw wool to woolen mills in nearby valleys. Today experienced cyclists do challenging races and training there: 400 mt of elevation gain in about 30 km!
But here's some good news: the stages through which cyclists hurtle are conveniently reachable even by car, and all are worth a stop: Selva di Progno, Badia Calavena, Tregnago, Cazzano di Tramigna, Illasi, Monteforte d'Alpone, Soave.
We tell you about them below, starting from the southernmost stop, Soave, and going up along the Val d'Illasi and Val Tramigna. On the way back, we will descend along the Val d'Alpone, adding a few more stages for a nice loop and return to Soave. Ready to get going? Find out the stages!
