Erected probably as early as the 9th century, consolidated and leveled later in the 19th century, it is one of the symbols of the town of Sorano. On it, a panoramic terrace and a crenellated turret with a clock.

Ancient Jewish Quarter of Sorano

As you walk through the impervious, paved streets of the historic village of Sorano you will encounter plaques on the facades of some of the buildings. One indicates the old Jewish quarter to which we are headed.

Orsini Fortress in Sorano
