The Running of the Casks

A unique event linked to the wine tradition that this beautiful area offers: it is all linked to an ancient custom when the winery workers, once the work was done, would deliver the kegs by rolling them quickly through the streets of the town. A tradition that has become a festival today with the four pushers ready to give themselves "battle" and put on a show for visitors. All this is enhanced by numerous side activities: wine and food tastings, walks, cultural visits.
