You will be taken on a guided tour that recounts the agricultural life of the past in Palanzo, characterized by the pressing of pomace and walnuts at the wine press, which is still in perfect working order today. You will discover the operation of this machine, which is very simple: at the base of the worm screw are embedded four round sticks, which are nothing more than levers on which the women pushed to turn the screw that lowered the huge log onto the final press. In the same room we will be able to admire a stone millstone that was operated by animal power and was used for crushing walnuts in order to obtain oil to light the lamps. Today, as now, anyone can enter and leave this space; there is no keeper or lock that prevents access. Everything has remained as it was 500 years ago: a social space that guarded a public tool, built for the community and used in turn by all the families of the village. The press is put into operation for the annual festival held on the second Sunday in October. The group will consist of a minimum of 4 people to a maximum of 15. For families, parental presence is required.
